Bay windows are like mini room room additions because they project out from the house.  They may even need to have a roof built over the outside of it.  Bay windows are beautiful but pricey.  The total cost can range from $9,000 to $11,000 with installation and new trim work.

*** A less expensive option to a bay window or bow window is a series of windows that go flat across the wall.  This reduces the total cost by half to about $5,000 installed.

Harvey Black Windows

Black windows on the exterior of a home have become popular in recent years.  They can give your home added curb appeal that other homes in you neighborhood may not have.  Black windows cost $300 more per window than white windows but if this is a design feature you like, it may be worth the extra cost.  Other exterior colors are also available.

These are real Pine wood on the interior and aluminum on the exterior to protect them from the elements.  Wood windows cost twice as much as vinyl windows but if you have stained wood window trim, many homeowners prefer real wood windows over vinyl windows.

* Factory Painted White Interior - $200/Window.

* Grid options - between the glass or on the outside of the glass.

Consider Almond color vinyl windows as a less expensive option.
