Mass Save Windows Rebate 2026

We have worked with the Mass Save windows program for 25+ years but they have changed over the years.  The 2026 guidelines to qualify for the windows rebate is now so limiting that literally 90% of homeowners do NOT even qualify for the windows rebate.

* The old windows you are replacing must be single pane.

* You must install the most expensive triple panes to qualify.

* You must have utility service with National Grid or Eversource Energy.

Triple pane windows do NOT give the best return for your money.

Do You Need Triple Pane Windows? NO

Although triple pane windows have slightly better energy efficiency than double pane windows, it is not very much.  The current level of energy efficiency on double pane windows (as required by Massachusetts building code) is so good that you do NOT need triple pane windows.

The triple pane windows required to qualify for the Mass Save rebate cost $200 more per window than double pane.  If you have 20 windows in your home, that is $4,000 in extra cost with minimal extra benefit.
