Energy Efficient Windows Save You Money

Our Windows Keep Heat Inside in Winter and Keep Heat Outside in Summer
All of our windows have either two or three panes of glass with a gas between the panes and a reflective coating on the glass called Low E. This transparent coating reflects heat back in the direction it came from. In winter, it keeps the heat inside your home so your furnace does not come as often. In summer, it keeps the outside heat on the outside so your air conditioner does not run as hard. 0% financing available.

Are Triple Pane Windows Worth It?
Although there is some additional energy efficiency to be gained with triple pane windows vs double pane windows, it is NOT that much. The energy efficiency of current double pane windows is now so good that you probably don't need triple pane windows.
Triple pane windows cost $100 more per window than double pane windows and the added cost is probably NOT worth the additional energy saving benefits or minimal tax credit.

Harvey Windows Are Made Here in Massachusetts
Harvey is a Massachusetts based company with headquarters in Waltham and a manufacturing facility in North Dartmouth. Homeowners ask for Harvey Windows by name because they know the windows are high quality, look beautiful, and made to last. Harvey makes great windows and Bay State Window Experts backs the original workmanship on the installation for as long as you own your home.

Black Windows Have Become Very Popular
A popular trend that is here to stay is to get windows that are black on the exterior of the home. This can give your home some extra "curb appeal" that other homes in your neighborhood may not have. Factory finished black exterior windows on vinyl windows cost $250 more than white vinyl windows. However, with wood windows, because of the manufacturing process, there is no additional cost for black windows. Other colors are available.

Bay Windows and Bow Windows
Bay windows and bow windows are like mini room additions. They project out away from the home and make the room seem bigger than it really is. They may even need a roof built over the outside of it. They are beautiful and are often a prominent feature of the front of the home but can be quite pricey. Vinyl bay windows range from $8,000 to $10,000 installed based on the size. Wood windows are even more.
*** An option is to replace the bay or bow with a series of windows that go flat across the wall. This will cut the total cost to $4,900 installed and includes all new needed trim work.
